What is occurring for &hiking in 2024

So 2023 was a year full of adventures. Camping trips in the Lake District, a two week tour of Scotland, a host of adventures ticking off the Ethel summits in the Peak District and many excursions into North and South Wales.

I’m not going to be slowing down over the next twelve months. I’ve got a big challenge coming up in the summer, but there is also a lot of adventures to come before that.

January is going to start with some Welsh Nuttall bagging and will hopefully continue into March, although this will be slightly weather dependant.

April is going to be my time for really pushing my training up a notch. With a couple of multiway hikes and wild camping adventures. Exploring the Lake District and

May will see me return to Scotland for a shorter 9 day tour, where I hope to tackle the highest point in Lock Lomond and the Troassachs, Ben More. I also want to hit up the namesake summit of Cairngorms hopefully ticking of Ben Macdui and a couple more 4000+ Munros.

I also want to make sure that I visit the royal pyramids in the east of the park as this was something that I missed out on my last journey to the great country to our north.

Then it will be the most intense period of training as I finish my preparations for Stafford2Snowdon. Raising money for Mind Charity I’ll be hiking 160 miles through England and the Welsh mountains. With a combined elevation gain of 29,500 feet, yep more than Everest, I’ll be completing the challenge in 9 days. You can find out more about the challenge here.

The rest of my summer is so far less planned.
