I’ve had a pretty amazing month of hiking in March.
Shropshire Hills
It might have started with some smaller hikes, like the one around the Shropshire hills which I cut short due to the snow. It was still beautiful though and definitely one I’ll be heading back to in the future, just maybe not in a snowstorm.

Wales
I’ve spent plenty of time Wales checking out some sections of my Stafford2Snowdon challenge and meeting some amazing people on my first proper group hike. A few years ago I would have been a bag of nerves for that but it was an amazing day in the Welsh mountains bagging some Glyderau Nuttalls with new friends.

I’ve also rounded the month off with some gorgeous spring weather and a return to the Welsh mountains to tick off a few more Nuttalls hitting a total of 60 (only 382 left to go!)

Cannock Chase
I’ve also managed to get in a couple of big hikes around the Chase training carrying my full load out to get these legs and shoulders ready for S2S.

Training
All in all not a bad month where I’ve managed to get in almost 200 miles of training and 14,000 of combing elevation gain. Which has left my legs feeling, well, great!
There is less than 11 weeks to go, until I take on my Stafford2Sbowdon challenge to raise funds and awareness for the mental health charity Mind.
I’ve got plenty more mountain days and forest hikes that I’ll be fitting into my calendar.
Coming up in April – Lakes & Scotland
Next month is a busy one with a trip to the Lakes and heading off to Scotland at the end of the months for some wild camping adventures and to take on the Cairngorms 4000s and bagging me a few Munros.
My Stafford2Snowden mental health charity challenge
I’ve also hit 25% of my fundraising target for my Stafford2Snowdon challenge coming up this summer which feels pretty amazing.
It’s massive thank you ti everyone who has donated and also all the kind words of support I’ve had from you all as I train my butt off to be prepared for the epic trek!
I hope everyone’s spring has started well, and you’re all enjoying the Easter weekend 😊
Stay weird, stay kind stay awesome ✌️
