I wanted to start to give my views on a bit of the gear that I use to help me along on my adventures and I thought I would start with my tent.
The Forclaz MT900 Trekking Tent has been an amazing addition to my kit. Not only is it super light weight at just over 1kg, it is easy and quick to erect in most weather conditions.

It’s a two man tent so there is a lot of space inside and thanks to it having a porch on either side you can still stay dry whilst taking in the views or using your camping stove.
With a separate room below the tarp I’ve stayed protected against those little bitey bastards and after trying it in heavy winds and rain it has kept me protected against some terrible weather conditions.
The only downside for me is that it’s white which doesn’t make it ideal for wanting to stay a little hidden whilst wild camping, but the reasoning behind that, well they have made it more environmentally friendly by choosing to save the water that would be in the process of dying the fabric.

All in all I highly recommend this tent, if you’re looking for something that will pack down small and gives a great space to weight ratio in your backpack. Just make sure you’ve got your hiking poles with you or else your night might be a little… flat!
I want to point out that I am in no way linked to Forclaz, these views are entirely my own after using this tent for around 60 night of camping this year across England, Scotland and Wales.
